LanceSMS adds SMS power to your ILance site.

 

This plugin enables automated SMS sending for Ilance.

 

Features:

  • Additional revenue opportunity: The site owner buys SMS in bulk at a low price and sells them at a higher price.
  • Several trigger events are defined which cause automatic sending of SMS to users who have subscribed to the service.
  • SMS number verification process (verification key sent as SMS).
  • Users will receive SMS only if they have explicitly subscribed to the individual event.

Trigger events:

  • SMS watchlist subscription: An SMS is sent to users with active SMS watchlist subscriptions when a lower/higher bid is placed or when 1 hour is left on the (service- / product-) auction.
  • SMS subscription for newsletter service:
    when a new (service- / product-) auction is posted an SMS is sent to all users with active SMS newsletter subscription of the auction's category.
  • SMS subscription for saved searches:
    when a new (service- / product-) auction is posted an SMS is sent to all users with active SMS subscription of a saved favorite search if the auction fullfills the requirements of that search.
  • SMS subscription for bid invitations:
    when a service provider with active SMS bid invitation subscription is invitated to bid he/she will receive an SMS.
  • SMS subscription for bid awards:
    when the bid of a service provider with active SMS bid award subscription is awarded he/she will receive an SMS.

This plugin enables Ilance users to publish their location and their's auctions locations on a Google map.

 

Features:

  • Service providers will see a Google map when editing their profile where they can define their location simply by zooming in/out and moving a pointer on the map.
  • Once the location is saved together with the profile it will be shown to visitors viewing that profile.
  • The same simple user interface is available for users that want to creat/edit an auction.
  • The entered location will be visible to visitors in the detailled auction view.
  • A unique blurring algorithm allows the site administrator to decide if auction's and users's positions are published showing the exact location or a "blurred" location.
  • In some Ilance implementations privacy of geografic locations can play an important role. That's why I created the blurring algorithm. You as a site administrator can choose to reveal locations only within a given cicle area that contains the real location. Choose the radius that works for you. Of course, the real location is not in the center of that circlearea which makes down tracking impossible.

  • NEW: Insert an overview map on the main page which shows all auctions and sellers. You can even use it as a business directory type map.
    Markers are tied to subscrition plans which gives you the option to charge sellers for having their map location marked by a certain type of markers.
